Eight of the ten pages that rank for "no code ai agent builder" in the US are published by companies that sell one. Pickaxe, Airtable and DronaHQ each put their own product first. Lindy's article leaves Lindy out of its comparison table but recommends Lindy in its verdict. None of these four vendor lists says when its prices were checked.

This comparison covers ten tools. Every price below comes from the vendor's own pricing page or documentation, checked on 30 October 2026, and each claim links to its source.

What counts as a no-code agent builder

Anthropic separates two kinds of LLM system. In a workflow, the LLM and its tools follow steps that you define in advance. In an agent, the LLM directs its own process and decides which tools to use and when.[1] A no-code agent builder lets you build the second kind with forms and a canvas instead of code: you write the instructions, connect apps as tools and choose a trigger, and the model picks the steps.

Three kinds of product use the label:

Microsoft Copilot Studio and Google's Gemini Enterprise do not fit one group. Microsoft and Google sell agent building as part of a larger workplace suite.

Three questions show whether a product is an agent builder or a chatbot builder that is marketed as one:

  1. Can the model choose which tool to call next, or does every path have to be drawn by hand?
  2. Can the agent act in another system, for example update a CRM record or send an email, and not only answer?
  3. Can you limit what it does, with a cap on steps or spend, or an approval before a tool call?

Gartner estimates that only about 130 of the thousands of vendors that market "agentic AI" offer agentic products. Gartner calls the rest "agent washing": assistants and automation tools that are renamed as agents.[2]

"Not listed" means the vendor's pricing page does not mention self-hosting. OpenAI's Agent Builder is left out of the table because it shuts down on 30 November 2026.

Three changes the vendor lists miss

OpenAI's Agent Builder is closing. Agent Builder is a visual canvas for multi-step agent workflows. On 3 June 2026, OpenAI told developers that it is deprecating the product, and the shutdown is scheduled for 30 November 2026.[19][20] OpenAI points users to the Agents SDK, which needs code, or to ChatGPT Workspace Agents. ChatKit, the embeddable chat interface, stays available.[20]

Zapier Agents is moving into AI by Zapier. Zapier's help pages say the company "is moving Agents to AI by Zapier".[9] Each agent becomes a Zap with a trigger and one AI by Zapier step, and it is billed in tasks like the rest of Zapier, with no separate Agents subscription. Zapier has not set a date to turn off Agents and says it will email users before any change.[10]

Relevance AI no longer lists self-serve plans. Its pricing page shows one Enterprise plan with a "Talk to sales" button.[16] The Lindy, Pickaxe, Airtable and DronaHQ lists still quote a free plan or a $19 or $29 Pro plan.

The tools, one by one

n8n

n8n has an AI Agent node, MCP client and server nodes, and human approval for tool calls on every cloud plan.[3] Cloud Starter costs $20 a month billed annually for 2,500 workflow executions, and Pro costs $50 for 10,000.[3] n8n counts one execution per workflow run, whatever the number of steps, so a long agent run costs the same as a short one.[3]

n8n is the only tool here with a free self-hosted edition. The Community Edition runs without a licence key and has almost the full feature set, but it lacks SSO, projects, environments, Git version control and sharing of workflows.[4] n8n's Sustainable Use License allows use for your own internal business purposes or for non-commercial and personal use.[5] Reselling n8n as a hosted service to others is outside those terms. The self-hosted Business plan costs €667 a month billed annually for 40,000 executions.[3]

The canvas is no-code, but the pricing page lists code steps in JavaScript and Python and custom HTTP requests on every plan.[3] An agent that needs a code step is not fully no-code.

Make

Make bills in credits. Most actions use one credit, and some features that use Make's AI Provider use more.[11] The free plan has 1,000 credits a month. For 10,000 credits, Core costs $9 a month billed annually or $10.59 monthly, Pro costs $16 or $18.82, and Teams costs $29 or $34.12.[11] Credits expire at the end of the term.[11]

Make AI Agent is in open beta. It works on all plans through Make's AI Provider, which needs no account with a model vendor. Your own OpenAI, Gemini or Anthropic connection needs a paid plan.[12] Make lists more than 1,000 standard apps.[11]

Zapier

Zapier's Free plan has 100 tasks a month. Pro starts at $19.99 a month billed annually, or $29.99 monthly, for 750 tasks.[8] Zapier Agents has its own allowance: 400 activities a month on Free and 1,500 on Pro, with a cap of 10 activities per run on Free and 40 on paid plans.[8][9] An activity is one billable action, such as a tool call, a web search or a knowledge lookup.[9]

In AI by Zapier, you pick a Standard, Advanced or Premium model tier, or a specific model, and admins can limit which models people use. A run pauses for review after 75 tasks by default, and you can raise the cap to 500.[10] Zapier's apps page claims more than 10,000 connections.[23]

Lindy

Lindy's free plan gives $50 in credits that last seven days. The Team plan starts at $49.99 a month for 5,000 credits, every active user is billed, and the credits are shared across the team.[13] Extra credits cost $10 per 1,000, and unused credits do not roll over.[13] Team includes a choice of model for each task, and Lindy lists more than 1,500 integrations. Enterprise adds SSO, audit logs and HIPAA with a signed BAA.[13]

MindStudio

MindStudio charges a plan fee plus model usage. The free plan allows one agent and 1,000 runs a month. The Individual plan costs $20 a month, or $16 billed annually, with unlimited agents and runs.[14] Model usage is billed per token, and MindStudio says it does not mark up the provider's price. It offers more than 200 models without API keys, and you can bring your own keys on any plan.[14] The Business plan, priced by quote, adds self-hosting and your own models.[14]

Gumloop

Gumloop's Pro plan starts at $37 a month with a 14-day free trial. It includes 20,000 credits (7,400 plus 12,600 bonus credits) and unlimited seats and agents.[15] A credit is worth $0.005. Gumloop bills model tokens, compute and paid tool calls at the provider's list price, then adds an 8% orchestration fee on the total.[15] The Pro plan supports more than 35 models and your own API keys, and a virtual private cloud is an Enterprise option.[15]

Relevance AI

Relevance AI sells an "AI workforce": several agents that work together on sales, support and operations tasks. Its pricing page shows only Enterprise, with unlimited agents, users and workforces, more than 2,000 integrations, agent evaluations, SSO and audit logs.[16] There is no published price.

Microsoft Copilot Studio

Copilot Studio bills in Copilot Credits. A pack of 25,000 credits costs $200 a month, and pay-as-you-go billing runs through an Azure subscription.[17] Users with a Microsoft 365 Copilot licence ($30 a user a month, paid yearly) can build and use internal agents at no extra cost. Publishing an agent to external channels needs a standalone Copilot Studio plan.[17]

Each thing an agent does has a credit price. A classic, hand-written answer costs 1 credit, a generative answer costs 2, and an agent action costs 5. An answer that searches your organisation's Microsoft 365 data (Microsoft calls this tenant graph grounding) costs 10.[18] Reasoning models add 10 credits per 1,000 tokens, counted on every model call the agent makes to answer one message.[18] When an organisation uses 125% of its prepaid credits, its custom agents are disabled until capacity is added.[18]

Google Gemini Enterprise

Google's editions page lists "custom no-code agents" as a preview feature in the Business, Standard and Plus editions and the pay-as-you-go option. Business is for teams of 1 to 500 users. Users on the Frontline edition can use agents that others built, but they cannot build their own.[21] The editions page and the product page publish no per-seat price, and the product page asks buyers to contact sales.[21]

Voiceflow

Voiceflow builds customer-facing agents for chat and voice. An agent can follow fixed, scripted steps for some tasks and decide its own steps for others.[22] You can choose among the large LLM providers or bring your own model. Voiceflow no longer shows plan prices on its pricing page. Businesses request a quote, and agencies get a free trial with usage-based billing.[22]

Billing units decide the real cost

The entry prices above are hard to compare, because each vendor counts a different thing:

An agent that reads an email, searches a CRM, drafts a reply and logs the result counts as one n8n execution. The same agent uses at least four Zapier activities, and on Copilot Studio it uses at least 20 credits, five for each of the four actions.[3][9][18] On Copilot Studio, a reasoning model also adds 10 credits for every 1,000 tokens it processes.[18]

How to choose

Frequently asked questions

What is a no-code AI agent builder?

A no-code AI agent builder is a tool where you set up an AI agent through forms and a visual canvas instead of code. You give the model instructions, connect it to apps as tools and pick a trigger, and the model decides which tools to call and in what order.

What is the difference between an AI agent and an automation workflow?

In a workflow, you fix the steps in advance and the model fills in text inside one step. In an agent, the model chooses its own steps and tool calls until the task is done. Most of the tools in this comparison can build both.

Which no-code AI agent builder is free?

n8n's Community Edition is free to self-host, and its licence allows internal business use. Zapier Agents has a free plan with 400 activities a month, and MindStudio's free plan gives one agent and 1,000 runs a month plus model usage. Make's free plan has 1,000 credits a month.

Can I self-host a no-code AI agent builder?

Yes. n8n has a free self-hosted Community Edition and a self-hosted Business plan at €667 a month billed annually. MindStudio offers self-hosting on its Business plan, and Gumloop offers a virtual private cloud on Enterprise.

Is OpenAI's Agent Builder still available?

Only until 30 November 2026, when OpenAI plans to shut it down. OpenAI told developers on 3 June 2026 and points them to the Agents SDK or ChatGPT Workspace Agents. ChatKit stays available.
